"ONE HELL OF A SAW" 2010-02-10
By Norman Renehan (MIDWEST/INDIANA)
I HAVE TRIED OTHER CORDLESS SAWS, LIKE SEARS, OR KAWASAKI, AND THERE IS NO COMPARISON TO THIS MILWAUKEE 18 VOLT SAW. just PICKING IT UP, YOU HAVE THE "FEEL" OF A REAL SAW, AND THEN USING IT IS EVEN A BETTER FEELING. AND THE PRICE WAS LOWER THAN ANYWHERE I'VE SEEN AROUND, AND TRUST ME, I LOOK AROUND BEFORE I PURCHASE ANYTHING OF VALUE....

"Very powerful but a little heavy" 2010-01-30
By F. Ong (Kailua, Hawaii USA)
Bought this as an add-on to my Milwaukee 18v hammer drill set. It really completes the cordless set and amplifies the capabilities of being cordless.

This saw is very powerful and can cut through a lot more than my older Dewalt. For one thing the blade is much larger at 6.5" while the Dewalt was only the odd 5-3/8" blade. That size was okay but always was just short of fulfilling the needed cut depth. This size is more conventional and hence usable. The saw itself handles very nicely; especially for right-handers.

Cons: It is a little heavy for a cordless so it is harder to use as a "trim saw". RPM of blade is a little slow so you have to be aware of this so you don't try to jam too much wood through while cutting. But it will eventually get the job done and with the 18 volt battery it will last so you don't have to be so conscious of using up the battery.

Bought this at $69 so I can't complain.

"Made In China, Not USA" 2010-01-28
By James L. Moline (St. Paul, Minnesota)
This saw seems to be of high quality. I just want to mention that it is not made in the USA as two of the reviewers mention. It is made in China. Milwaukee told me when I called today that all of their cordless circular saws are made in China.

"Three P's- perfect price and product" 2009-07-12

Well balanced yet heavy duty; cast aluminum base plate; love the left side saw blade so a right-hander can see the cut without having to look over the saw; great price and it came quickly

"Excellent design and engineering, these people know tools" 2009-05-23
By Stephen Cunningham (Northern Michigan)
This is a great tool. It is quiet, very smooth running and well balanced. It cuts like it has eyes! I have a lot of cordless circular saws DeWalt, (2) Milwaukee (1) Craftsman (2) Black & Decker (1) Ryobi (1) Makita (1) Denali (1) and probably a couple I have forgot about. They range in blade size from around 4" to the 36 volt DeWalt 7 ¼ inch. The Milwaukee is the first saw I reach for when cutting O.S.B, plywood or 2x or smaller lumber. The lack of any vibration and the great sight line make it easy to make very precise cuts on a variety of materials. The stamped aluminum shoe isn't going to break if you drop it. It will bend and you can straighten it out unlike a cast aluminum shoe as used on some other saws. I don't know what else to say, it is a tough saw, it doesn't look very special but it sure does work good. And it is one of the quietest circular saws I own.
